I am excited about writing the blog this week, as I am going to Cheltenham on Saturday – the home of jump racing.

Throughout the jump season, all roads lead to the Cheltenham Festival in March.

It was interesting to see the latest betting for the Gold Cup and the one I like the look of is Don Cossack who is currently trading at 20/1 in the ante post betting.

There is a good card on Saturday and course specialist John’s Spirit runs in the 2.35. He won at this meeting last year and runs well fresh. He looks a nice e/w bet at 12/1.

In the big race at 3.45pm, Mon Parrain looks the pick and don’t miss Crazy Jack in the 5pm race. I will be doing a patent on those three horses at Cheltenham.

Over at Ascot, it’s Champions day and with all the rain that has fallen it could be very testing ground. With that in mind Whiplash Willie in the first race looks great e/w value. In the 2.55 Cubanita looks a very good bet at 5/1.
