Former professional footballer and England manager, Terry Venables, has co-launched a football fund with a goal of 12% returns for investors.
The offshore investment fund will develop young footballers from Europe, Africa and South America.
The Football Talent Fund is looking to raise £5million from investors to go towards specialist coaching and education for young players.
The fund will also acquire a stake in a second division Portuguese football club. Returns will be generated from a percentage of agency rights for all the players supported by the fund.
Twenty-four players are expected to be placed on the development scheme at any one time.
With a minimum investment of £5,000, the fund will look to generate 12% returns, repaying capital and growth to investors after a five year period.
