US TRADE DEFICIT IN GOODS NARROWS IN SEPTEMBER

WASHINGTON (Alliance News) – The US trade deficit in goods came in at USD56.1 billion in September, down 5.2% from USD59.1 billion in August.

Advance wholesale inventories edged up 0.2% in September. The figure rose to USD590.7 billion compared to a revised level of USD589.5 billion in the previous month.

Advance retail inventories were up as well. The stat advanced 0.3% to USD607.6 billion, compared to a revised reading of USD605.8 billion in August.
